Verkhivtseve (Ukrainian: Верхівцеве, Russian: Верховцево) is a village in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Population is 10,142 (2001). It has a railway station. The area is mostly forested. The modern name is appropriated on January, 1 1904 in honour first chief Ekaterininskoy railway, engineer Verkhivtseve. The settlement of Verkhivtseve got status of city in 1956.
