Vaniyambadi is a town and a municipality, part of the Vellore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The major population comprises people following Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and Jainism religion. Tamil is largely spoken language along with Urdu language spoken by Muslims, Telugu and Kannada is also prevalent due to the proximity of the neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Leather tanning is a major industry of the town. Agriculture, especially coconut plantations, is the other major source of livelihood. The town is also famous for delicious food items like biriyani, kebabs, tandoori items and various types of sweets. The major festivals includes Pongal, Diwali, Ramadhan, Bakrid, Christmas. The town is known for its Hindu Muslim integrity. Both the community people share and greet one another in their special occasions like marriage, festivals etc.,
