Urus-Martan (Russian: Уру́с-Марта́н; Chechen: ХӀалхӀа-Марта, Halxa-Marta) is a town and the administrative center of Urus-Martanovsky District of the Chechen Republic, Russia, located on the Martan River. The town is located in the central part of the republic, to the southwest of the capital Grozny. Population: 49,071 (2010 Census preliminary results); 39,982 (2002 Census); 32,851 (1989 Census).
