Towada (十和田市, Towada-shi?) is a city in central Aomori Prefecture, in the Tōhoku region of Japan. As of April 2012, the city has an estimated population of 65,818 and a population density of 90.7 persons per km². Its total area was 725.67 km², making it the largest municipality in Aomori Prefecture in terms of area.
