Sandomierz (pronounced:  ) (German: Sandomir; Latin: Sandomiria; Yiddish: Tsuzmir; Ukrainian: Сандомир or Судомир; Russian: Сандомир; Czech: Sandoměř) is a town in south-eastern Poland with 25,714 inhabitants (2006). Situated in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship (1975–1998). It is the capital of Sandomierz County (since 1999).
