Pakdasht (Persian: پاكدشت‎, also Romanized as Pākdasht; also known as Palasht, Palesht, Palishth, Polasht, and Pol Dasht) is a city in and the capital of Pakdasht County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 126,281, in 32,625 families. Pakdasht is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of the capital Tehran. The majority of the population speaks Persian and is Shia.
