Kokshetau (Kazakh: Көкшетау / Kökşetaw / كوكشەتاۋ), formerly known as Kokchetav (Russian: Кокчетав, until 1993) is the administrative center of Akmola Province, northern Kazakhstan. Population: 135,106 (2009 Census results);123,389 (1999 Census results).
