Jingzhou (simplified Chinese: 荆州; traditional Chinese: 荊州; pinyin: Jīngzhōu) is a prefecture-level city in southern Hubei, People's Republic of China, located on the banks of the Yangtze River. As of the 2010 census, its total population is 5,691,707, 1,154,086 of whom reside in the built-up area made of 3 urban districts.
