Gaozhou (Chinese: 高州; pinyin: Gāozhōu; Cantonese Yale: Kochow; Gaoyang dialect (Yale Romanisation): Kochow) is a county-level city of Maoming City, southwestern Guangdong province of Southern China. It has a population of 1.68 million as of 2008 and total area of 3276 km². The locals speak a variation of the Gaozhou dialect.
