Esmoriz (Portuguese pronunciation: [(ɨ)ʒmuˈɾiʃ]) is a Portuguese city located 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Porto. It belongs to Ovar Municipality, and has a population of 11,020 over an area of 9.05 km2 (3.5 sq mi). Esmoriz was given city status in 1993.
