Diraz (Arabic: الدراز) is a village on the north west coast of Bahrain. It lies to the east of Budaiya, west of Barbar and north of Bani Jamra. It is a predominantly Shia village. It has several Dilmun era temples, and hosts the Umm Al Sajoor spring, which was once landfilled by the Ummayad caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan because of his hatred of the people of the village. However, this was reversed by the people of the village after Ibn Marwan left.
