Crossbarry is a small village on the R589 Regional Road in the Innishannon parish, about sixteen kilometers west of Cork City,Republic of Ireland and about ten kilometers east of Bandon. There is a shop "Centra", one pub "The Crossbarry Inn", a beautician "Ouch" and a a hairdressers. The River Owenabue flows through the village. The West Cork Railway once ran through the village, and Junction railway station served as a connection to Kinsale. The Crossbarry Ambush took place at the village during the Irish War of Independence|War of Independence.
