Carrick-on-Suir (Irish: Carraig na Siúire, meaning "rock of the Suir") is a town in South Tipperary, Ireland. It lies on both banks of the River Suir. The CSO 2006 Census gives the population as 5,906 (including suburbs or environs) and shows that it has grown by 5.7% since 2002. It is in the historical barony of Iffa and Offa East.
