Negrești-Oaș (Romanian pronunciation: [neˌɡreʃtʲ ˈo̯aʃ]; Hungarian: Avasfelsőfalu, Hungarian pronunciation:[’ɒvɒʃfɛlʃøːfɒlu]) is a town in northwestern Romania, in the county of Satu Mare. It has about 15,057 inhabitants as of 2007 and is located near the Ukrainian border. Two villages, Luna (Lunaforrás) and Tur (Túrvékonya), are administered by the town.
